Description
A World War II-era United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Pilots’ Information File (PIF), serving as a technical manual for flight regulations and operational procedures. The document is housed in its original three-screw-post binder with a reinforced black fabric spine. The front cover features a multi-colored graphic design in tan, blue, and black, displaying the USAAF winged propeller insignia. The title is printed in bold black and stylized yellow lettering. The classification RESTRICTED is printed at the top and bottom of the cover. A security notice regarding the Espionage Act, 50 U.S.C., 31 and 32, is located in the lower right corner. The upper left corner bears the handwritten name H.M. De Vassie in ink. This manual was a standard-issue compendium for aviators, containing essential data on aircraft maintenance, weather, and emergency protocols.
