Description
An excellent and completely original German M35 double decal helmet, factory produced for the Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps (NSKK). This example retains its original field-gray smooth finish with both decals present?on the left side, the early NSKK winged party shield, and on the right, the National Socialist eagle with swastika?each showing age and patina consistent with wartime exposure. The decals remain largely visible beneath the protective lacquer, with wear concentrated on the high points of the shell.The helmet is clearly stamped with manufacturer and lot markings, showing a maker code of NS68 (Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke Schwerte) and batch number 3681, confirming production in the early wartime period. The interior retains its complete liner system, showing natural darkening and age toning to the leather but remaining soft and intact. The original drawstring and full chinstrap assembly are still attached, the strap exhibiting the same patina as the liner and shell, indicating long-term originality.Originally formed as a branch of the SA, the NSKK functioned as a militarized transport and logistics organization that trained drivers and supported the Wehrmacht throughout the war. Helmets of this type were typically reissued from prewar stocks and saw both training and field use.This is a fine example of an early-production M35 NSKK helmet, unaltered and complete with both decals, liner, and chinstrap?an increasingly scarce configuration in original, uncleaned condition.
