This lot comprises eighteen metal collectible trading card tins from the 1997 Donruss Preferred NFL football series. The collection features seventeen blue-finish tins and one silver-toned tin. Each tin displays a lithographed portrait of a prominent NFL star within a starburst design. Featured players include Kerry Collins, Mark Brunell, Troy Aikman, Ike Hilliard, Jerry Rice, Warrick Dunn silver tin , Brett Favre, Kordell Stewart, Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Drew Bledsoe, Keyshawn Johnson, Herman Moore, Tim Brown, Dan Marino, Steve Young, Curtis Martin, and Karim Abdul-Jabbar. The front of each tin is marked with the 1997 Donruss Preferred logo and includes the text 5 Trading Cards Per Tin and Search For Precious Metals. The reverse of each tin contains a printed list titled Donruss Preferred Tin Lineup which catalogs the full 24-tin set. Manufacturer information on the back identifies the items as a product of the Donruss Trading Card Company, Grand Prairie, TX, dated 1997. Official licensing marks for the NFL, NFL Players, and the Quarterback Club are present on the reverse of each item.
