Description
This lot consists of two copies of Superman’s Girl Friend Lois Lane issue number 23, published by DC Comics in February 1961. This issue is a notable Silver Age key book featuring the first comic book appearance of Lena Thorul, who is the sister of Lex Luthor. The main story is an imaginary tale titled Mrs. Lois Kent as… The Wife of Superman!, depicting a scenario where Superman and Lois Lane are married with super-powered twin children. The cover art, featuring pencils by Curt Swan and inks by Stan Kaye, shows the family at a picnic with the super-twins playing in the foreground. Both copies feature a 10 cent cover price and include a full-page color advertisement for Wilson Chemical Co. Photo Rings on the back cover.
