Description
This lot consists of two original theatrical lobby cards No. 6 and No. 8 produced for the 1958 Universal International science-fiction horror film Monster on the Campus. These promotional cards were printed in the United States and distributed through the National Screen Service. Each card features a full-color photographic still from the movie, flanked on the right by a stylized credits panel. This panel includes the film’s title in red block lettering and a graphic illustration of the titular monster. Card No. 6 depicts actor Arthur Franz in a field, holding a firearm while approaching a figure lying in the grass. Card No. 8 shows a man struggling with a German Shepherd in front of a campus building. The credits panel lists Arthur Franz, Joanna Moore, Judson Pratt, Nancy Walters, Troy Donahue, and The Beast. Production credits include Director Jack Arnold, Screenplay by David Duncan, and Producer Joseph Gershenson. Printed text along the bottom margin includes Copyright 1958 by Universal Pictures Co., Inc. Country of Origin U.S.A., the card sequence numbers 6 and 8, and the property disclaimer for the National Screen Service Corp.
