Description
A framed limited edition lithograph titled Remember the Moment, commemorating the 1980 United States Men’s Olympic Ice Hockey team’s victory at the XIII Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid, New York. The artwork consists of a stylized line illustration depicting the team’s iconic celebration. Printed text on the right side provides the event location and dates of February 22 and 24, 1980, as well as the final scores of USA 4, USSR 3 and USA 4, Finland 2. The piece is hand-numbered 209/1000 in the lower right corner. The lithograph is hand-signed in black ink by twenty players and two coaches from the gold medal-winning team. Signatures include Jim Craig, Mike Eruzione, Mark Johnson, Neal Broten, Dave Christian, Bill Baker, Rob McClanahan, Buzz Schneider, Mark Wells, Steve Christoff, Mike Ramsey, Phil Verchota, Steve Janaszak, Mark Pavelich, Bob Suter, John Harrington, Jack O’Callahan, Eric Strobel, Dave Silk, Ken Morrow, Herb Brooks, and Craig Patrick. The reverse of the frame features an original Certificate of Authenticity displaying a grid of twenty-two photographs of the individuals signing the lithographs from this edition. The COA is hand-signed by Michael P. Rose and dated May 29, 1991. The piece is housed in a silver-toned metal frame with a dark charcoal mat and includes a label from Lake Country Framing of Geneva, NY.
