Description
Very nice Submarine Officers Grouping. Class of 1939, US Naval Academy. His distinguished career took him on NINE Submarine War Patrols before becoming a Submarine Commander in the Spring of 1945. He recieved the Silver Star for gallantry as well as 3 awards of th Bronze Star, one which was for valor. Includes 2 uniforms, fore and aft cap, shoulder boards and straps with carry case. Commissioning pennant for one of the submarines, various ashtrays from the Submarines including the USS Tench. There is also a small Submarine launching desk model and ashtray from the USS Tench., nameplate and much more. This one will make an excellent research project.
