The front cover, attributed to John Byrne and Terry Austin, depicts Wolverine engaged in combat with several bald, purple-suited figures, with text banners announcing -WOLVERINE LASHES OUT!- and a smaller inset featuring other X-Men characters. The back cover features a full-page advertisement for a -100 Toy Soldier Set- from Lucky Products, Inc., copyrighted 1980, illustrating a military battle scene.
