This issue features the first appearance of Cobalt Man. The front cover, in the Silver Age superhero style, depicts Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast, and Iceman in conflict with Cobalt Man, identified by the speech bubble: -WE MUST DESTROY… THE COBALT MAN!-.
