Description
This is an exceptional, fully documented combat grouping dedicated to Sergeant David A. Miller, E-5, United States Army, 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division, honoring his distinguished service and sacrifice during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. The collection is anchored by his two highest federal awards for valor and wounds: the Silver Star Medal and the Purple Heart Medal, both confirmed as officially engraved, period-issue medals with his name DAVID A. MILLER on the reverse, presented in their original presentation cases. The Silver Star medal is inscribed FOR GALLANTRY IN ACTION and the Purple Heart medal is inscribed FOR WOUNDS RECEIVED IN ACTION on 18 November 1967.
