Lot 210:
Description
Extensive estate find detailing the birth and history of the Dixie Airline, and the 1920’s Monocoupe aircraft. This early aviation lot is highlighted by an original yet slightly damaged propeller from one of the first Monocoupe aircraft. This particular piece is reportedly from the example now on display at the EAA museum. The collection includes paperwork detailing the establishment of Dixie Airlines, the purchase of the Monocoupe aircraft, 1920’s "Ride-along" poster, flight helmets and goggles, original photographs and so much more. This is an aviation historians dream lot that would display wonderfully.
