Rare oversized study on uniforms of the American Revolution with 50 color plates, published in 1926 for the New York Historical Society. Charles Lefferts actually painted the 50 studies for this volume as well as wrote the descriptions. This volume had a 1 time print run of 500 copies, which this is the 220TH. The plates typically sell for $20 each, so the plate value alone is $1000. They seldom come up for sale and few are left. A black and white small version was produced in the 1970s, but it nothing like this. This one priced at
