Description
Very rare WW2 Air- Sea Rescue sign. Not sure where this sign was placed, possibly at the squadron headquarters building. It features a Disney gremlin or insect in a Sailor uniform with a net catching a crippled aircraft. The boat pictured in the 85 ft. version of the rescue boat. Interestingly, they changed th edesign of th einsignia part way through as it originally had a red triangle. Crash boat material is very scarce. Good research project. Measures approximately 24 x 30 inches.
