Description
A Matchbox Superfast No. 11b -Flying Bug- die-cast model car, circa 1969, accompanied by its original box, and a separate Matchbox Superfast trike. The -Flying Bug- model features a red die-cast metal body, clear blue plastic windows, yellow rocket boosters, a red tail fin, a silver pilot figure, and a white stylized cross decal on the hood. The underside is clearly marked -MATCHBOX-, -LESNEY PRODUCTS & CO LTD-, -MADE IN ENGLAND-, and -MCMLXIX- -1969-, -FLYING BUG No 11-. It is housed within its original -MATCHBOX SUPERFAST- retail box, which is protected by an aftermarket clear plastic case. The box features text such as -MAG-WHEELS-RACING SUSPENSION- and an illustration of the car. The separate, unboxed die-cast toy trike is constructed from metallic purple and light purple plastic and metal components, with chrome-finished engine detailing, black wheels, and an orange front accent.
