Marvel Comics Incredible Hulk issue 271, published in May 1982. This Bronze Age comic book is identified by web consensus as the first comic book appearance of the character Rocket Raccoon. The front cover features dynamic illustrations of the Hulk and Rocket Raccoon with artwork by Al Milgrom, signed and dated 1981. The cover includes the 60-cent price point, the Comics Code Authority seal, and a standard UPC barcode. The reverse of the book features a full-page color advertisement for the Lone Ranger Western Town playset by Gabriel Industries, dated 1982.
