Description
This offering features The Mighty Thor issue number 196, published by Marvel Comics Group in February 1972. This issue is significant for the first appearance of Kartag the Keeper. The cover art is a standout Bronze Age piece by Gil Kane and Joe Sinnott, depicting Thor in a fierce confrontation with Kartag. This is an unslabbed, raw specimen with the original 20-cent cover price. The interior story is part of the acclaimed run written by Gerry Conway with interior art by John Buscema and Sam Grainger. The back cover features a well-preserved 1971 advertisement for Mattel Sizzlers Fat Track racing sets.
