Written, illustrated, and edited by Jack Kirby, this May 1972 issue of The Forever People No. 8 is a significant entry in the acclaimed Fourth World saga. This first edition, staple-bound comic book is a 52 Big Pages giant-sized issue published by DC Comics National Periodical Publications. The lead story is titled The Prisoners of the Power! and the issue features a backup reprint of the Joe Simon and Jack Kirby Sandman story, Dreams of Doom! The cover art, also by Kirby, depicts the Forever People being held captive by enigmatic figures.
