Description
This 1961 Topps baseball card, number 344, features Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The card front displays a color photographic portrait of Koufax in a Dodgers uniform against a blue sky background. The bottom of the card contains two colored blocks: a red block on the left with the name Sandy Koufax and position Pitcher in white and yellow text, and a yellow block on the right with the team name Los Angeles Dodgers in black text. The reverse side is printed in green and black ink on a cream-colored cardstock. It includes biographical information, a complete major league pitching record from 1955 to 1960, and three illustrated cartoon vignettes regarding his career. The card is professionally encapsulated in a GMA grading slab. The slab label identifies the card as 1961 Topps Sandy Koufax 344 and assigns a grade of VG-EX+ 4.5 with serial number 7587600.
