Description
A vintage copy of Detective Comics 500, published by DC Comics in March 1981 to commemorate the titles 500th anniversary celebration. This specimen is hand-signed on the front cover by Batman co-creator Bob Kane in black ink and is hand-numbered 179/500. The issue features artwork and stories with contributions from numerous industry professionals including Jim Aparo, Joe Kubert, and Walt Simonson. Accompanying the comic is a Certificate of Authenticity from Dynamic Forces, Inc., which verifies the signature and identifies the book as part of a limited series of five hundred copies, with a matching certificate number of 0179. The item is presented in a protective clear plastic sleeve with a backing board.
