This lot features two significant Superman anthologies documenting different eras of the iconic superheros history. The first volume, Superman: From the 30s to the 70s, features an introduction by E. Nelson Bridwell and was published by Bonanza Books, a division of Crown Publishers, Inc., circa 1971. This early reprint edition is a hardcover with its original pictorial dust jacket, serving as an essential retrospective of the Golden, Silver, and Bronze ages. The second volume is World Without a Superman, published by DC Comics in 1993. This is a first edition trade paperback written by Dan Jurgens, Jerry Ordway, Louise Simonson, and Roger Stern, with art by Tom Grummett, Jackson Guice, and Jon Bogdanove. It collects the narrative arc immediately following the Death of Superman event. The cover art is by Tom Grummett and Doug Hazlewood, with an original price of $7.50 US marked on the front cover.
