Description
A limited edition commemorative collection produced by The Highland Mint celebrating the 2000 World Series, known as the Subway Series, between the New York Yankees and the New York Mets. The set features an official Major League Baseball Special Limited Edition program and two solid bronze medallions. The program cover displays the Subway Series logo, the 2000 World Series insignia, and the logos for both the New York Yankees and New York Mets alongside New York City subway line numbers 4 and 7. One bronze medallion is struck with the 2000 World Series logo, while the second medallion features the dual logos of the competing franchises. A central parchment-style plaque identifies the collection as a limited edition of 350, specifically hand-numbered 272. The plaque further bears the official logos for Major League Baseball, the American League, the National League, and The Highland Mint. The components are professionally double-matted in black and white and housed within a black wood-finish frame.
Condition: The collection appears in very good condition. The internal program and bronze medallions show no apparent wear or oxidation. The matting is crisp and the frame remains structurally sound with only minor signs of handling consistent with display.
