Description
This framed presentation features the cover art from the 1962 New York National League Baseball Club Official Year Book, commemorating the franchise’s inaugural season. The print is hand-signed in blue ink by numerous members of the original 1962 roster. Signatures include Jay Hook, inscribed 1st Mets Win, Frank Thomas, Roger Craig, Ed Kranepool, Joe Pignatano, Al Jackson, Joe Ginsberg, Ken MacKenzie, Ray Daviault, Sherman Jones, Ed Bouchee, Rod Kanehl, Rick Herrscher, Craig Anderson, Sammy Taylor, and Joe Christopher. The illustration features a color drawing of a baby in a Mets cap and diaper alongside the team’s circular logo and the 50 cent price mark. The piece is presented in a modern wood-look frame behind UV-protective glass. The reverse is documented with a printed 1962 team roster, a handwritten identification key for the signatures, a framer’s label from Stomping Grounds.
