Lot 154:
Description
This is a standard-issue German military triple-compartment ammunition pouch designed to hold 15 rounds of 7.92x57mm Mauser ammunition per cell in five-round stripper clips. The pouch is constructed from heavy blackened pebbled leather with smooth leather straps and belt loops. Each of the three individual cells contains an internal leather divider and is secured by a top flap. These flaps are fastened by vertical leather straps to steel studs located at the base of each cell. The reverse side features two wide leather belt loops and a centrally mounted metal D-ring attached by a stitched and riveted leather tab for attachment to combat Y-straps. The assembly is joined with heavy-gauge off-white contrast stitching. A manufacturer mark is embossed on the reverse between the belt loops consisting of an arched Franz Brehme over Walsrode 1942.
