Description
This is a German military soft-shell holster designed for the Walther P.38 pistol. The item is constructed from black pebble-grained leather and features a large top flap secured by a single leather strap and metal closure stud. A dedicated spare magazine pouch is sewn to the forward edge of the body. The reverse side is fitted with two vertical leather belt loops. The assembly is joined with heavy-duty tan-colored stitching. The reverse of the holster bears several stamped markings including the manufacturer code cxb over the digit 4, identifying the maker as J. Moll, Lederwarenfabrik, Goch, and the year of production as 1944. It is also stamped with the model designation P38 and a Waffenamt inspection mark featuring an eagle over the code 869.
