Description
This item is a set of US M1945 Combat Field Pack Suspenders, produced during the Korean War era. The construction consists of heavy Olive Drab (OD7) cotton canvas webbing featuring wide, integrated padded shoulder straps designed for weight distribution. The assembly includes four adjustable lead straps equipped with blackened metal snap hooks for attachment to an M1936 or M1945 pistol belt and associated field gear. Stenciled markings are present on the interior of the shoulder pads. One pad is marked with the letter L above the text 71 AND OVER. The opposite pad is marked FIELD PACK, COMBAT above the Federal Stock Number 8465-577-4927. The designation M-1945 is also visible on a separate section of the canvas webbing. The 11-digit Federal Stock Number indicates production in the early 1950s following the introduction of the FSN system.
