Description
This item is an original German WWII Luftwaffe Type I non-takedown gravity knife, also known as a Fallmesser, produced by the firm Paul Weyersberg and Co. of Solingen. The blade is made of stainless steel and utilizes a gravity-drop deployment system engaged by a spring-loaded lever. The blade features a stamped manufacturer logo consisting of an oval containing a sword and wreath, surrounded by the text PAUL WEYERSBERG and CO SOLINGEN. The designation ROSTFREI is stamped below the logo. The handle is composed of two dark walnut wood grip scales fastened to the frame with four steel rivets. A folding carbon steel marlin spike is housed within the handle frame. The knife is finished with a metal bolster and a steel lanyard ring at the base of the handle.
