Description
A pair of World War II era Type AN6530 flying goggles manufactured by The Chas. Fischer Spring Co. of Brooklyn, New York. The goggles feature nickel-plated metal frames with a hinged bridge stamped with the designation AN 6530. The frames are fitted with green-tinted lenses and a chamois-lined face cushion. The upper portion of the face cushion is stamped in black ink with the name T J RANALLI USNR, identifying the original owner as a member of the United States Naval Reserve. The goggles are housed in their original cardboard storage box, which retains a printed identification label. The label specifies the item as Frame; Flying Goggle, Specification AN-GG-F-626, Drawing Number 33D5020, and Navy Contract Number NXs-321. Original brown packing tissue is included within the box.
