Description
This collection consists of two original vintage movie posters printed for the French theatrical market. The first poster is for the Universal Pictures film L’Homme Invisible The Invisible Man , directed by James Whale. This poster was produced for a re-release presented by Connaissance du Cinema. The artwork is signed F. Gaborit Francine Gaborit and portrays the titular character in a stylized manner, wrapped in bandages and wearing dark goggles. The background illustrates a silhouetted figure walking through a rural landscape toward a village under a red-hued sky. The film title is displayed at the bottom in a prominent halftone dot typeface. The second poster is for the 1972 Hammer Production titled Dracula 73 Dracula A.D. 1972 , directed by Alan Gibson. The poster artwork is signed by Michel Landi and features a large, menacing portrait of Christopher Lee as Count Dracula. The design includes depictions of co-stars including Peter Cushing and Stephanie Beacham, alongside a 1970s sedan. The poster is printed with the Warner Bros logo and includes printer credits for Ste Expl. Ets Lalande – Courbet, Wissous in the lower left margin. A ministerial visa number 4787 and an age restriction notice are printed at the bottom.
