Description
This lot features a single copy of Astonishing Tales issue number 10, published by Marvel Comics Group in February 1972. The issue features Ka-Zar, Lord of the Hidden Jungle, in the story titled To Die In Flames!. The front cover illustration is by artists Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia, with the signature KANE and GIAD visible near the lower center of the artwork. The scene depicts Ka-Zar in combat with a large ape-like creature and primitive warriors in a jungle setting. The back cover consists of a full-page color advertisement for the Mattel Sizzlers Fat-Track racing set, featuring a 1971 copyright notice for Mattel Inc.
