Description
This collection consists of an assortment of non-sport trading cards and ephemera primarily from the early to mid-1990s. The lot features several major publishers of the era including Topps, Skybox, Image Comics, and Valiant. A significant portion of the collection includes cards from the 1993 Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 1, specifically the First Day foil-stamped subset illustrated by Walter Simonson. This subset includes depictions of Luke Skywalker, Jabba the Hutt, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Snowtroopers, and Darth Vader. DC Comics and Skybox items include a 1994 Superman: The Man of Steel gold foil chase card, a 1993 DC Cosmic Teams Aquaman card, and an Impact Metamorpho Limited Edition foil card. The grouping also contains various promotional inserts originally distributed with Wizard Magazine and by Comic Images, featuring characters from Image Comics titles such as Brigade, Shaman’s Tears, Pitt, and Youngblood. Identification is based on printed manufacturer and character information visible on the cards.
