Description
This collection includes a sterling silver vesta case by Joseph Gloster Ltd, alongside another English sterling silver case and a continental silver example. The Joseph Gloster case features Birmingham hallmarks with the date letter v for 1920, linear engine-turned patterns, a blank circular cartouche, a suspension ring, and a gilded interior. The second English sterling silver case displays Birmingham hallmarks with the date letter o for 1913, featuring a similar engine-turned design and a gilded interior. The continental silver piece is marked 800 on the interior rim and is decorated with hand-engraved floral and foliate motifs. All cases are of hinged construction and exhibit traces of internal gilding.
