Description
This contemporary abstract painting is executed in acrylic on canvas, featuring a textured composition of vertical striations in navy, cerulean, and deep indigo over a pale cream ground. The artist utilizes heavy impasto and scraping techniques to create a dense, atmospheric surface. The work is signed and dated John Miller 1999 in black pigment on the verso of the canvas. The canvas is stretched over wooden bars that bear multiple stamps, including the circular mark of manufacturer PINCO B.I.L.L. and numeric size indicators 0 8 and 0 14. The piece is presented in a dark-stained wooden frame with a beveled gilt inner liner. A Hobby Lobby custom framing label is affixed to the reverse of the frame.
