Description
British RFC Veteran’s Officer Field Service Cap – Burberrys, London with RFC Badge & Buttons. British officer’s olive drab/khaki ribbed wool field service (forage) cap by Burberrys, London (woven Burberrys label with equestrian knight device). Fitted with World War I Royal Flying Corps bronze cap badge (laurel wreath, RFC monogram, King’s crown) and two matching small RFC regimental front buttons (R.F.C. under Imperial crown). Silver-gray twill lining well preserved as shown. Cap body consistent with c.1939-1945 Burberrys manufacture; RFC badge and buttons retained from Great War service identity as evidenced. Light surface soiling; wool structurally sound.
