Description
Vietnam War-Era In-Country Tailor-Made Khaki Slouch Hat with Embroidered VIET-NAM Arc Tab, Blackened U.S. Specialist Rank Insignia, and Interior A22 Marking This lot offers a khaki cotton twill slouch, or bush, hat of the type commissioned by American servicemen from local Vietnamese tailors during the Vietnam War, circa 1964-1972. The crown carries a blackened metal U.S. Army Specialist rank insignia (consistent with SP4/SP5 grade), while the upturned side brim displays a red-ground, tan-lettered VIET-NAM arc tab secured beneath a working snap fastener. The interior sweatband bears a stamped A22 rack marking and a red inspection stamp.
