Description
A group of 1909-11 T206 tobacco baseball cards from the Piedmont Cigarette Base Ball Series – 350 Subjects. The collection includes lithographed cards for Jones (Detroit), Downey (Cincinnati), Fromme (Cincinnati), and Bob Bescher (Cincinnati, Portrait). Each card features a color portrait or action illustration on the front with player and team names printed along the bottom margin. The reverses bear an advertisement for Piedmont, The Cigarette of Quality, noting production at Factory No. 25, 2d Dist. VA. The items are color lithographs on cardstock.
Condition: The cards exhibit characteristic age-related wear including rounded corners, minor surface soiling, and light edge abrasions. The cards are housed in individual protective plastic sleeves.
