Description
A collection of T206 White Border series baseball tobacco cards, produced circa 1909-1911. The group features lithographed depictions of major league players set against vibrant solid-color backgrounds, including Cecil Ferguson of the Boston National League, Jack Barry of the Philadelphia American League, Jack Bliss of the St. Louis National League, and Jap Barbeau of the St. Louis National League. Three of the cards feature Piedmont cigarette advertisements on the reverse from Factory No. 25, 2d District of Virginia. The Bliss card displays a Polar Bear scrap tobacco advertisement from Factory No. 6, 1st District of Ohio. Each card is printed on standard cardstock of the period.
Condition: The cards show signs of age-appropriate wear consistent with their era, including rounded corners, light surface soiling, and minor staining. The items are currently housed in individual protective plastic sleeves.
