A Cold War-era United States military emergency receiver-transmitter radio, model ACR RT-10. This handheld unit was standard issue for aircrews and pilots, designed to be carried in a survival vest or life raft for search and rescue operations. The device is housed in a ruggedized metal casing with an olive drab green finish and features a multi-section telescoping whip antenna. It is a single-channel device preset to the international military emergency UHF frequency of 243.0 MHz, identified on the label as 243 MC. The unit includes controls for power, a tone button for beacon transmission, and a transmit lever for voice communication via the integrated speaker-mic. The radio is accompanied by its detachable ACR B-20A battery power supply and ACR B-12 back plate assembly featuring a woven olive drab nylon retaining strap. The front identification label is marked with FSN 5821-912-4480YY, Serial 30922, and U.S. Contract AF 33 (657)16540.
