United States military fatigue shirt, identified as the M1943 or second pattern Herringbone Twill HBT utility jacket. The garment is constructed from olive drab cotton in a herringbone weave. It features two large bellows-style pleated chest pockets with button-down flaps and a full button-front closure. An internal gas flap is present behind the main button line, designed for chemical agent protection. The shirt is equipped with metal tack buttons featuring an embossed design of 13 five-pointed stars surrounding a central opening with a laurel wreath motif.
