Description
A trio of vintage beaded evening bags, attributed to French manufacture and dating to the early-to-mid 20th century. The first item is a framed evening bag featuring a black micro-seed bead ground decorated with a multi-color floral motif in shades of pink, cream, and green. It is constructed with a gold-tone metal frame featuring a textured border, a ball-clasp closure, and a matching chain-link handle. The interior is lined with a champagne-colored satin fabric. The second item is a drawstring reticule pouch with a black seed bead ground. It features a central rose motif in pink, lavender, and green tones, with a decorative geometric and floral border at the base. It is finished with a black cord drawstring handle. The third bag is a circular shoulder bag with a black seed bead ground and two raised, three-dimensional butterfly motifs rendered in pink, cream, and green beadwork. The circumference is finished with a scalloped beaded trim and includes a long, thin beaded shoulder strap. No maker marks or labels are visible.
