Description
This lot consists of two vintage match safes featuring distinct decorative and promotional styles. The first item is a silver-tone metal vesta case, or match safe, decorated with intricate repousse floral and foliate scrollwork on both sides. The front central cartouche is engraved with the name FOREST in a stylized font, and the reverse is engraved with the year 1924. The case includes a hinged lid and a striking surface on the bottom edge. While visually consistent with sterling silver examples from the early 20th century, no hallmarks are visible in the provided images to confirm metal purity. The second item is a metal matchbook cover for United Cigars. The front features the embossed United Cigars brand logo within a decorative border.
