Description
This lot consists of a set of four original theatrical lobby cards released in the United States for the 1957 science fiction film Rodan! The Flying Monster!. This film was a Toho Production, presented by The King Brothers, and distributed by D.C.A. Distributors Corporation of America Pictures. The cards were printed using the Technicolor process on heavy cardstock. Each card features a distinct color scene from the film and includes a bright yellow promotional panel in the lower left corner with the film title and production credits. The set includes cards numbered 2, 5, 6, and 8. Card number 2 depicts the monster in a body of water near a bridge with aircraft overhead. Card number 5 shows a group of six human characters in a landscape with the monster’s head and neck visible in the background. Card number 6 shows the monster flying over a bridge and city with a military jet in pursuit. Card number 8 shows the monster flying over a dam and bridge. The lower white margin of each card contains printed text including COPYRIGHT 1957 D.C.A. PICTURES, COUNTRY OF ORIGIN U.S.A., and a National Screen Service Corporation property disclaimer with the number 57 510.
