Description
An original theatrical lobby card for the 1959 full-length animated feature 1001 Arabian Nights, released by Columbia Pictures. The film was produced by UPA United Productions of America and features the character of the nearsighted Mister Magoo, voiced by Jim Backus. The artwork utilizes a stylized mid-century modern aesthetic characteristic of the UPA studio. This specific card depicts Mister Magoo and a small animal companion riding a magic carpet through a blue night sky filled with white scrollwork clouds, positioned next to a multi-tiered decorative tower. A yellow promotional box in the lower right contains the film title, starring credits, and the Technicolor designation.
