Description
The Pagoda sleeves and straight waistline on this bodice combined with the shaping of the lining and the front style reflect the transition in styles during the 1870s. A very unusual fabric choice of textured purple taffeta combined with the design styles make this a bodice to look at closely. The waistband is heavily stitched dark teal colored velvet and the asymetrical front closure are likewise uncommon in combination.
