Summer MILITARIA - FILM - BASEBALL - More
Lot 166:
The case is made of a wooden box that has been covered with dark russet leather. The letters D.S.C. are executed in gold leaf near the bottom of the lid. The catch works perfectly. When the lid is raised, it exposes the cream white silk lining to the top of the lid and a white velvet pad in the bottom of the case. The edges of the lid are tapered to give the case the nickname of “Coffin Box” as the case resembles a vintage casket. There is a scuff to the middle of the leather that should be easily repaired with some shoe polish. Overall, this case is in outstanding condition and they are extremely difficult to find. This will be a welcomed addition to any medal collection.
