The Field Artillery Training Center was established to provide American field artillery advisors to instruct the Chinese Army in the use of field artillery. The badge is the standard size of a patch-type DUI, but is made in China. The badge itself is vaulted and nicely enameled. The silver metal badge does show peppering to the finish. The badge is secured to the uniform by a small safety style pin which is secured to the badge by a spring to serve as a hinge. The badge is numbered 96. The back of the badge also includes three Chinese characters which I was told translates to cannon school. This is one of the unit insignia that the late, great, Jay Massaro looked for over the extent of his career. They very rarely ever show up for sale.
