Eclectic collection of ehpemera and aviator gear from the barnstorming years. Includes a fine set of WW I Aviator goggles along with matching leather flight helmet. An additional period cloth helmet is also included. Named lot to one of Alabama’s first airline owner operators. Known as Dixie Air Service, this aviator flew the famous Monocoupe aircraft, and welcomed enthusiasts by offereing plane rides and travel excursions. In addition to the noted flight gear, the lot includes an advertisement for fligyts, associated paperwork, vintage aircraft photos, and related materials.
