Description
A collection of approximately two dozen mid-20th century photographs, predominantly black and white publicity stills, with a few color examples. The collection features prominent celebrities and political figures, many bearing handwritten autographs and personal dedications. Visible signatures include Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, Kirk Douglas, Jerry Lewis, Bob Hope, Charlton Heston -on a still from -The Buccaneer, – 1958-, Robert Taylor -also from 1958-, and President Dwight D. Eisenhower -signed -with best wishes–. Many dedications are addressed -To Richie- or -To Jackie.- Accompanying the photographs is a handwritten letter dated April 21, 1959, from -Linda- to -Sweetheart- -or -Ricky–, discussing an enclosed autograph from -King Hussein I of Jordan, – which is present on a separate slip of paper. The items are largely housed in plastic protector sleeves.
