The AN-J-3A was the standardized replacement for the famous G-1 and M-422 series, designed under the joint Army/Navy AN specification during the height of World War Two. The clear, original label confirms the jacket s identity as JACKET S INTERMEDIATE, BUAERO – U.S. NAVY, SPEC. AN-J-3A, manufactured by GORDON & FERGUSON, INC.
