Description
This lot features a diverse and highly desirable collection of US Military Patches and Metal Insignia, with a strong emphasis on Infantry, Specialized Units, and Cold War era service in Korea and Vietnam. The collection comprises approximately 25 pieces, showcasing both colorful embroidered patches and scarce metal badges.
Prominently featured are patches from major US formations and specialized schools. This includes two large, embroidered United Nations patches, two embroidered RANGER rocker patches, and the distinctive 1st Infantry Division patch, known as the Big Red One. Also present is the shield-shaped patch of the 2nd Infantry Division with a central bull motif, signifying the units history. Another unique piece is the large circular patch for the 2nd Infantry Division Indian Olympics, featuring a central star and the Olympic rings.
The collection also contains multiple patches and insignia from various other commands and specialties. Patches include the large, curved JOINT SECURITY AREA PANMUNJOM rocker, confirming service at the Korean DMZ. Other specialized patches include the circular DRAGON EXPERT patch, an embroidered anti-tank weapon patch TOW, and a circular patch for the DISTINGUISHED MECH. INF. SQUAD featuring a tank silhouette. Metal insignia includes several airborne and aviation wings, various pins for specialized training, and a dark, shield-shaped Infantry patch. The lot is completed by a scarce group of KOREA over-the-flag patches packaged in original plastic. This grouping offers a fantastic variety of specialized and recognizable US Army unit insignia.
