Description
This group of original animation production art is from the 1987 Filmation animated feature Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night. The collection includes several hand-painted production cels, a hand-painted production background, and a corresponding pencil production drawing. The cels are hand-painted on acetate and depict the character Pinocchio and a cricket companion. The background is a hand-painted outdoor scene featuring foliage and rock formations. One cel features an embossed seal from Legends of Art with a 1987 Filmation Associates copyright. Various handwritten production notations are present on the items, including SQ4-25, Sc 25, P 85, and H BP 85. The production drawing is a graphite character study on paper.
